Meet Your Port Orange Dentist
Dr. Mike Rolfes
Dr. Mike Rolfes was born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Florida in 2012, then continued his education at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale. He graduated with his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2017.
Becoming a Dentist

From an early age, Dr. Rolfes was drawn to both science and service, and dentistry quickly became the perfect way to blend the two. During his undergraduate and dental school years, he spent countless hours in clinics and community settings, observing how thoughtful, evidence-based dentistry can change not only a smile, but a person’s confidence and overall health. At Nova Southeastern, he completed comprehensive clinical rotations that exposed him to a wide spectrum of care, from preventive and restorative dentistry to endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. He developed a reputation among patients and classmates for his calm chairside manner, clear communication, and meticulous attention to detail. Those experiences shaped the philosophy he brings to every appointment today: listen first, explain clearly, and deliver treatment tailored to each person’s goals, budget, and lifestyle. Whether he is restoring function, enhancing esthetics, or helping a patient overcome dental anxiety, Dr. Rolfes focuses on creating a comfortable experience and outcomes that feel as good as they look.
Continued education
Since then, Dr. Rolfes has been practicing restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Committed to professional growth, he regularly completes continuing education courses to stay at the forefront of dental advancements and improve the overall patient experience. Dr. Rolfes pursues advanced coursework in topics such as implant planning and restoration, cosmetic smile design, adhesive and minimally invasive techniques, occlusion and bite therapy, and the latest in materials science. He also stays current with innovations in digital dentistry, including modern imaging and treatment-planning tools. Equally important to him is the art of communication. He invests time in training that helps clinicians present options clearly so patients feel informed and empowered to choose what’s right for them. Dr. Rolfes believes that preventive care and patient education sit at the center of great outcomes, so he emphasizes routine maintenance, home-care coaching, and conservative treatment planning whenever possible. When cases are complex, he collaborates closely with trusted specialists and dental laboratories to ensure every detail is thoughtfully managed. His patients appreciate that he never rushes decisions, provides transparent explanations and estimates, and creates a step-by-step plan that respects their priorities. Whether restoring a single tooth, completing comprehensive rehabilitation, or refining a smile with cosmetic enhancements, his goal is durable, natural-looking results that support long-term oral health.
Outside the Office
Outside the office, Dr. Rolfes enjoys an active lifestyle. He recently got married and loves spending time with his wife, friends, and family. You’ll often find him surfing, fishing, boating, golfing, or traveling, especially when it means being outdoors and making lasting memories. Time on the water is his favorite way to recharge. On land, a round of golf is as much about fresh air and good company as it is about the scorecard. Travel is another passion. He and his wife enjoy discovering new places, trying local food, and finding scenic trails and beaches to explore. He’s grateful for a career that allows him to help people feel better about their smiles and for a life outside the practice that keeps him grounded, curious, and ready for whatever the next adventure brings.
